Soroptimist International is comprised world-wide of groups just like ours. We work together to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Through our service projects, we strive to live up to our name, "Soroptimist," which means "best for women." Almost 95,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community–based and international projects that benefit women and girls. THANKS FOR HELPING US HELP OTHERS!

The Soroptimists of Garden City support our library, the Chrysalis transitional housing center for women, our Boys and Girls Clubs, and many other worthy organizations that serve the needs of women and children. In addition, the Garden City Soroptimists participate in the Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Award, Soroptimist Club Grants for Women and Girls, the Soroptimist Workplace Campaign to End Domestic Violence, and the Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award.
